Judge Is Concerned by Trump Attorneys: "Very Disconcerting"

Judge Juan Merchan, who is overseeing the case, expressed concern when the attorneys representing former President Donald Trump failed to produce any evidence to support their claims in the former president's hush money criminal trial on Monday.

Merchan put pressure on Todd Blanche, Trump's attorney, to provide evidence to support his allegations of prosecutorial wrongdoing. He mentioned that Blanche had accused him of being "complicit" in the misbehavior of District Attorney Alvin Bragg. Todd Blanche, Trump's attorney, acknowledged that he lacked a case when pressed to present one.

As other reporters in the courtroom reported, Merchan said, "That you don't have a case right now is really disconcerting."

This is a story in progress and will be updated with new details as they become available.
